BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) subjected 78 officers to random drug testing here last Tuesday.
According to Police Major Sherlock Gabana, BCPO information officer, these personnel were assigned to different police stations and units of the BCPO.
Gabana said the drug testing is part of the internal cleansing program of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to clear their ranks from erring cops.
Around 641 BCPO personnel already underwent drug testing this year.
Police Colonel Manuel Placido, BCPO director, said that he’s happy to share that none of the personnel has been found positive for illegal drug use, so far.
The BCPO is still waiting for the results of the recent drug test.
