ROXAS CITY, Capiz– A total of 70 individuals have been arrested by police in Capiz in separate operations for violating the curfew relative to the enhanced community quarantine against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The curfew hours was implemented on March 24, 2020 via Executive Order No. 11, series of 2020 issued by Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras.
The 70 total persons arrested were from March 24 to April 5, based on the data from the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO).
Last Saturday, seven persons were arrested for violating the curfew – Albert Abian, 36; Elmer Navarro, 28; and Elwin Navarro, 29, all residents of Barangay Poblacion President Roxas, Capiz; Mandy Borres of Barangay Libas; Roger Diestro 18, and Bimbo Bobong, 21, both residents of Barangay 8, and Jerson Bunda, 22, of Barangay Punta Tabuc here.
