Bacolod City- Jobseekers may get a chance to get a job in the job fair of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
Around 6,152 job vacancies are available both local and abroad as DOLE hosts the Kalayaan Job Fair at SM City Bacolod as part of the country’s 124th Independence Day celebration.
Mary Agnes Capigon, head of DOLE-Negros Occidental Field Office (DOLE NOFO), said interested applicants can register online via their field office’s official social media page, although they will also accept walk-ins.
Capigon also said that priority would be given to the 1,800 job seekers who have registered online thus far.
Job seekers are advised to bring along their employment documents such as resumes, and diplomas.
Capigon said she had also advised the companies and manpower agencies participating in the event to conduct final interviews on-site, so that applicants can be hired on the spot.
She added that 46 local companies and seven licensed agencies will participate in the Kalayaan Jobs Fair.
This is the first time in two years that DOLE will host such an activity after the COVID-19 pandemic erupted.
