BACOLOD City – Six persons were arrested here and in Negros Occidental for the recovery of P640,000 worth of suspected shabu in several buy-bust operations in the past two days.
In Silay City, Raohba Carisma, 31; and Rhodji Tatoy, 40, both residents of Barangay Lantad were arrested at Barangay Guinhalaran last Wednesday, after police seized from them 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 20 grams worth P300,000, drug paraphernalia, P4,000 cash, and the P500 marked money.
Carisma is a target-listed drug personality while Tatoy is a newly-identified drug personality, police records showed.
Also arrested that day at Barangay Singcang-Airport here were Jesmar Diane, 22, of Barangay 2 here; and Luigi Caponong, 22, of Barangay Tangub here.
Police Major Charles Gever, head of Police Station 8, said both suspects have been renting a house at the said village and conducting the illegal activity for two months now.
Police confiscated from them eight sachets of suspected shabu worth P30,000, and the P500 marked money.
Gever said Caponong allegedly conspired with Diane in the transaction. Both suspects are detained at Police Station 8.
The following day, Ramie Rivera, 45, of Barangay Banago here was arrested at the said village while his two companions were able to escape in the drug bust.
Police recovered during the operation six sachets of suspected shabu worth P300,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia. He is detained at Police Station 3.
Also arrested yesterday at Barangay 30 here was John Paul Canoy, 24, of Barangay 26, after he allegedly yielded 12 sachets of suspected shabu worth P10,000, and the P300 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 6.
