ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 53 health workers here were infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said 39 have already recovered while 14 are still active cases.
The 14 active cases include 11 working in private health facilities and three in government health facilities.
Data from the City Health Office revealed that as of October 1 afternoon, COVID-19 has infected 269 persons here (98 active case, 149 recoveries and 22 fatalities).
Meanwhile, 169 violators were caught in the 3-day implementation of Ordinance No. 044-2020 or the ′′Face Mask, Face Shield and Physical Distancing Ordinance” of Roxas City.
The operations were conducted by the Anti-COVID Task Force from Monday to Wednesday this week.
91 violators paid the P500 fine and 78 rendered four hours of community service.
