ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz police have arrested 51 individuals for possessing unlicensed firearms during six months of operations from January to June 2024.
According to a report from the Capiz Police Provincial Office, the arrested individuals have been charged in court.
Meanwhile, the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station was recently ranked first by the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) in the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER).
Police Major Greg Anthony Salbang, Pontevedra police chief, said their on-time submission of required compliance documents contributed to their top ranking.
He added that their numerous accomplishments through collaborative efforts might also have played a significant role.
The UPER evaluated the contributions of each police station in Capiz.
