In an interview with Daily Guardian, Capiz Rehabilitation Center (CRC) jail warden Arjuna Yngcong said the transfer papers of the PDLs are being processed.
“Everything is being worked out so that their transfer would not be hampered,” he said.
Yngcong said that the cases of the 40 PDLs have been already decided by the court. They include two women involved in the illegal drug trade.
The cases of the convicted PDLs ranged from murder, homicide robbery, theft, and illegal drug trade.
The provincial jail, which has a population of 322, will be decongested with the impending transfer of 40 PDLs.
