ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Four more persons succumbed to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) here.
The new fatalities include a 41-year-old male from Brgy. 10; a 65-year-old female from Brgy. Milibili; a 71-year-old male from Brgy. Baybay; and a 28-year-old female from Sitio Nipa in Brgy. Culasi here.
Records from the City Health Office (CHO) on June 16 indicated that 25 more individuals were infected while 61 recovered.
The province of Capiz logged 42 more cases – 25 from Roxas City, 5 in Panitan, 3 in Dumalag-, 2 each in Mambusao and Sigma, and 1 each in Maayon, Pontevedra, Tapaz, Ivisan and Jamindan.
The province also recorded 87 recoveries and 6 deaths.
As of June 16, the province has 3,652 confirmed cases wherein 667 (18.26%) were active cases, 2,804 (76.78%) recoveries and 181 (4.96%) deaths.
Following the extension of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) status of Roxas City, the Roxas City Hall of Justice will be temporarily closed.
Based on the office memorandum issued by Executive Judge Ignacio Alajar, the closure is in effect until June 30, 2021.
