340k worth of shabu seized from alleged drug peddler

Western Visayas’s alleged high-value individual and the No. 2 provincial “drug personality” was arrested at Barangay Calitan in Panay, Capiz at about 7:30 p.m. on Sept 24, 2022.

Members of the Panay Municipal Police Station, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Capiz Police Provincial Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Capiz and Aklan nabbed Dan Rebb Basa, 37, of Poblacion Tabuc, Panay.

Basa allegedly sold to a police poseur-buyer a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in exchange for P10,000.

Also confiscated during the operation were 6 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, a coin purse, a cellular phone, P1,000 cash, and a lighter.

The seized substance weighed 50 grams valued at P340,000.

Basa is now in the custody of Panay MPS.
