ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 3,193 farmers were affected by flooding in Capiz which also damaged 3,092.7 hectares of rice land.
Based on the initial assessment of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist through Amefill Sage, assistant provincial agriculturist, the flood affected Roxas City, Panay, Panitan, Jamindan, Mambusao, Sigma and Pontevedra.
Sigma suffered the most number of affected rice land with 900 hectares.
The damages are expected to increase as each town submits the assessment reports.
