31 loose firearms surrendered to Roxas City police

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Thirty-one loose firearms were voluntarily surrendered to the Roxas City Police Station with the assistance of barangay officials, police said.
Police Lt. Col. Rogelio L. Tomagtang Jr., chief of the Roxas City Police Station, thanked barangay officials for their support and cooperation in the government’s Project CAPeace-Tawhayan campaign.
Tomagtang urged barangay chairpersons and officials to continue promoting the program in their communities.
He said residents voluntarily surrendered the unlicensed firearms as part of efforts to promote safer communities and maintain peace and order.
The firearms were surrendered from July 28 to Sept. 15, 2026.
Data from the Roxas City police showed that the 31 firearms came from residents of 28 of the city’s 47 barangays.
