300 Sigma Residents Get Free Medical Services

SIGMA, Capiz—A total of 347 residents received free medical checkups, HIV testing, chest X-rays, blood donation services, and dental care on Nov. 15, 2024, at the Sigma Civic Center.
Sangguniang Bayan member Esperedion Pelaez said the activity, led by the Capiz provincial government under Governor Fredenil H. Castro, was organized in partnership with the Gugma Medical-Dental Team to bring healthcare services closer to Sigma residents.
The event was supported by the Provincial Health Office under Dr. Alex Nolasco, Maradeca Inc., Capiz Shells Inc., the Philippine Red Cross Capiz Chapter, and Capiz State University Sigma Satellite College. It was also backed by the Sigma local government unit led by Mayor Dante Rizal A. Eslabon and the Sangguniang Bayan of Sigma.
Notable attendees included Vice Governor James “Mitang” Magbanua, 2nd District Congresswoman Jane T. Castro, and several Board Members from the second district of Capiz, Pelaez said in his capacity as LGU-Sigma spokesperson.
