ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The province of Capiz recorded on Saturday night three more cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), bringing the total cases to 1,231.
Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) indicated that 1,153 persons have recovered, while 58 died. 20 cases remain active.
Of the three new cases, two are from Roxas City and one in Pilar town.
Roxas City on Friday afternoon had 8 active cases in Barangays Tiza, Punta Tabuc, Culasi, Mongpong, Lanot, XI, Bolo and Libas.
The city has 654 confirmed cases, 608 recoveries, and 37 deaths.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas admitted that the fight against COVID-19 continues as he advised the public not to be complacent.
Dadivas said the public must observe minimum health protocols such as wearing of face mask and face shields and physical distancing.
