3 nabbed in drug stings

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three persons were arrested in separate drug buy-bust operations Tuesday in Panay, Capiz and Balasan, Iloilo.

The joint operatives from Iloilo Provincial Police Office, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Balasan police arrested Khasmar Bacarro, 28, of Malocloc Norte, Ivisan, Capiz in an operation at Brgy. Camambugan Balasan, Iloilo.

Recovered from Bacarro were 13 sachets of suspected shabu valued at P130,000.

The suspect is presently detained at the lock up cell of Balasan police station.

Meanwhile, the PDEU-Capiz, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Panay police also collared Jericho Besorio, 21, of Brgy. Bago; and John Anthony Bernas, 18, of Barangay Bago Chiquito, both in Panay town.

The two were arrested in a buy-bust operation 4:20 p.m. Tuesday at Brgy. Candu-al also in Panay town.

Recovered from the suspects were three sachets of suspected shabu, cellular phone and a motorcycle.

The three suspects will be charged for violation of RA 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
