3 homicide suspects arrested in Panitan

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Three persons wanted for homicide were arrested by police Thursday morning, April 23, in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Panitan, Capiz.
The Panitan Municipal Police Station served the warrants of arrest against alias Bert, 53; alias Ric, 27; and alias Boy, 17, all residents of Barangay Tinigban in the same town.
The warrants were issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Joan Marie Bargas Betita of Branch 14 in Roxas City, Capiz, on April 22, 2026.
The court recommended PHP 60,000 bail each for their temporary liberty.
The suspects are under the custody of the Panitan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, a construction worker wanted for frustrated homicide was arrested Thursday afternoon, April 23, in Barangay Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as alias Pablito, 27, a resident of the village.
The warrant of arrest was issued by RTC Judge Redentor Eugenio Esperanza of Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo, on April 22, 2026.
The court recommended PHP 200,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
He is under the custody of the Tapaz Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and court referral.
