ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Three individuals are facing illegal gambling cases following their arrest Thursday afternoon, April 23.
Police identified the suspects as alias Gerald, 37; alias Flor, 68; and alias Lorenzo, 42, all residents of Barangay Salocon, Panitan, Capiz.
The three were caught in the act of playing tong-its during an anti-illegal gambling operation conducted by the Panitan Municipal Police Station and the Capiz Provincial Intelligence Unit around 4:48 p.m. in Barangay Salocon.
Recovered from the suspects were PHP 180 in bet money, playing cards, and other gambling paraphernalia.
The suspects and confiscated items are under the custody of the Panitan Municipal Police Station, while charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, or the illegal gambling law, are being prepared against them.
