BACOLOD City – Three persons were dead while three others were wounded in separate road accidents here and in Negros Occidental over the weekend.
On March 1, Jolyn Amihan, 25, of Iloilo City and his unidentified companion died after his motorcycle hit a Toyota Innova at Barangay Estefania here.
Police said the victims who were allegedly speeding were tailing the Innova when they also hit a tricycle and a gutter which caused them to fall from their motorcycle.
Police said both victims were reportedly drunk when the crash happened.
In La Castellana town, Selvano Pasuit of Moises Padilla town died while three others, including a 16-year-old boy were injured after they figured in a collision at Barangay Cabacungan on February 29.
Wounded were Felix Jonggoy, Jonathan Jonggoy, 20, and the minor, whose name was withheld.
Investigation showed that both motorcycles were on their way home after coming from a fiesta at the said village when the collision happened.
All of them sustained injuries and were rushed to a hospital, where Pasuit was pronounced dead.
