BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will deploy 28 police officers and force multipliers in 13 cemeteries here from Oct 27 to Nov 5, 2021 in observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, public information officer of BCPO, said that two police officers will be assigned to police assistance desks in each cemetery, while four officers will be deployed to Burgos public cemetery considering its location.
Gabana said they don’t have exact figures of force multipliers who will augment the police.
But he said they will be deployed to four public and nine private cemeteries and memorial parks here.
Aside from that, Gabana also noted that policemen will conduct mobile patrol in their respective areas to ensure that resorts abide with the health protocols, considering that families would usually gather on this occasion.
Gabana said that their security plan is already in place.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia has earlier ordered the temporary closure of cemeteries here from October 29 to November 2 to prevent gatherings that could trigger the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), considering the current situation.
