ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 264 inmates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Male Dormitory in Brgy. San Jose, Roxas City are ready to participate in the 2022 national elections.
This, after said Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) were able to register through mobile registration conducted by the Commission on Election (Comelec) and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Capiz for the national ID recently.
Jail Senior Ins. Denver Fantilaga, jail warden of the BJMP’s male dormitory, and Dr. Lory Cahilog, city health officer, will conduct vaccination of the detainees as protection against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Fantilaga assured relatives of the detainees of its continued mental health support program and healthy lifestyle inside the detention facility.
Since last year, the detention facility of the BJMP remained on lockdown because of the threats of COVID-19.
