25 fugitives arrested in PRO-6’s 24-hour manhunt

Twenty-five fugitives were arrested within 24 hours in a series of manhunt operations conducted by police units across Western Visayas.

From 6 a.m. on October 22 to 6 a.m. on October 23, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 reported the capture of five most wanted individuals—three at the provincial level and two at the municipal level.

Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, Western Visayas police chief, said the suspects face various charges, including murder, homicide, physical injury, and violations of special laws.

Different provincial and city police units led the operations as part of a simultaneous anti-criminality and law enforcement campaign to maintain peace and order and bring fugitives to justice.

“The swift apprehension of these wanted persons demonstrates our unwavering resolve to uphold the rule of law,” Ligan said.

“This accomplishment sends a strong message that those who evade justice will eventually be held accountable,” he added.

Ligan emphasized that PRO-6 remains committed to pursuing fugitives and ensuring a safe and crime-free Western Visayas through intensified manhunt operations.
