A second round of random drug test was conducted at the Iloilo Police Provincial Office on Feb 3, 2020.
This time, 231 personnel composed of intelligence operatives and members of provincial drug enforcement units and station drug enforcement teams underwent the test.
The personnel of the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 6 facilitated the activity.
To recall, a random drug test was held on January 13, wherein urine samples from 185 personnel yielded negative for illegal drugs.
Colonel Roland Vilela, Iloilo police provincial director, said he was happy for the initial result and directed another round of test as part of the continuing efforts in the implementation of the Enhanced Revitalized PNP Internal Cleansing Program.
“Iloilo PNP has no room for scalawags. Anyone who gets positive in the test will be recommended for dismissal from the service,” he said. (IPPO)
