BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has recorded 2,051 violators of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) health protocols while the city was under the General Community Quarantine with heightened restrictions (GCQ-HR) from August 2 to 15, 2021.
Based on BCPO records, 723 violated the curfew hours (10 p.m. to 4 a.m.) and 80 others failed to observe social distancing.
Facemask violators numbered to 608, followed by liquor ban violators (339), and faceshield violators (301).
These 2,051 violators were part of the total 31,724 violators caught by the BCPO since January this year.
The city was placed under GCQ-HR since July 16, 2021 to present despite its decreasing COVID-19 cases in the past weeks.
Based on the total number of violators from January 1 to August 15, non-wearing of facemasks has the highest number of violators at 10,521, followed by curfew violators (7,358), faceshield violators (7,006), liquor ban (3,728), and social distancing (3,111).
