2022 performance of schools in board examinations

The PRC Board of Mechanical Engineering announced that a total of 2,121 out of 3,780 examinees nationwide, or 56.11%, passed in the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination given in February 2022.
John Dominic Ape and Janry Custodio of Technological University of the Philippines – Visayas ranked number 5 and number 7 respectively in the said examination for Registered Mechanical Engineers. Six (6) schools in Western Visayas out of 13, or 46%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level.
The Region produced 155 passers out of 292 takers, or 53.08% passing percentage. There were 273 first takers and 19 repeaters from the Region who took the said examination. The first takers passing percentage is 55.68%. The repeaters’ passing percentage is 15.79%.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)released the results of January 2022 Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET) given in 29 testing centers all over the Philippines. Eight thousand seven hundred thirty-seven (8,737) out of 15,356 or 56.9% passed the LET-Elementary. Three thousand seven hundred fifty-five (3,755) of these are first takers, while 11,601 are repeaters.
The Western Visayas Region performed high in LET-Elementary, or with passing percentage higher than that of the national average. In the LET-Elementary, 52 out of 75 higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Region or 69.3% are high performing or with passing average higher than that in the national level. Thirty-six (36) out of 52 or sixty nine percent (69%) of the high performing HEIs are public schools.
High performing HEIs in the Region, with 50 and above examinees and at least 80% passing percentage are Aklan State University-Ibajay Campus (90%), Carlos Hilado Memorial State College-Main Campus (87.5%), Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College-Main Campus (80%) and Cabarrus Catholic College (80%). Four hundred fifty-seven (457) out of 725 examinees in the Region, or 63.03%, passed in the said examination. Eight (8) out of 10 first takers passed while 6 out of 10 repeaters passed. Ninety eight percent (98%) of the examinees were repeaters.
On the other hand, twelve thousand seventy-four (12,074) out of 22,241 or 54.29% passed in the LET-Secondary. Six thousand two hundred eighty-two (6,282) of these are first takers, while 15,959 are repeaters. On the other hand, 456 out of 943 or 48.36% of the examinees from public and private HEIs in the Region passed in the LET-Secondary. Thirty-one (31) out of 85 HEIs in the Region or 36.5% are high performing. Nineteen (19) out of 31 or sixty one percent (61%) of these high performing HEIs are public schools. Six (6) out of 10 first takers passed while 4 out of 10 repeaters passed. Ninety five percent (95%) of the examinees were repeaters.
In February 2022 the PRC Board of Social Workers announced that a total of 533 out of 1,211 examinees nationwide, or 44.01%, passed in the Social Worker Licensure Examination given in eleven (14) testing centers nationwide. Lenery Buenafe Ponsaran of Capiz State University-Pilar Campus ranked number 9 in the said examination for Social Workers. Five (5) schools in Western Visayas out of 6, or 83.33%, performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The Region produced 21 passers out of 35 takers, or 60% passing percentage. There were 16 first takers and 19 repeaters from the Region who took the said examination. The first takers passing percentage is 68.75%. The repeaters’ passing percentage is 52.63%.
Also, in February 2022 the PRC Board of Psychology announced that a total of 226 out of 303 examinees nationwide passed in the Psychologist Licensure Examination. Two (2) schools in Western Visayas out of 4 performed high or with a passing percentage higher than that of the national level. The Region produced 7 passers out of 10 takers, or 70% passing percentage.
