BACOLOD CITY – At least 200 residents of Sagay City, Negros Occidental, availed of services from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) during the first day of its Mobile Service Caravan at the Sagay City Gymnasium on July 16.
The PRC Mobile Services Caravan will run until July 18, 2025.
The three-day outreach aims to bring essential PRC services closer to the public, allowing professionals to process documents without the need to travel far, according to a post from the city government’s official social media page.
The initiative was made possible through the efforts of 2nd District Rep. Alfredo “Thirdy” Marañon, Sagay City Mayor Leo Rafael Cueva, and Vice Mayor Narwin Javelosa.
Available services include the renewal of Professional Identification Cards, application for licensure examinations, initial registration for new passers, issuance of duplicate PRC IDs, petitions for change of name or correction of data, and certification and authentication of PRC documents.
The program was also attended by PRC Chief Professional Regulations Officer Sheriel Loloy of the Licensure and Registration Division, who emphasized the importance of expanding PRC services to more communities.
Rep. Marañon said the program is vital for professionals to avoid disruptions in their careers and to support continued growth.
Mayor Cueva, meanwhile, thanked Marañon and the PRC for bringing the caravan to Sagay and expressed hope that more government frontline services will be hosted in the city.
