2 persons wanted for rape collared

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Two persons wanted for the crime of rape were arrested in separate operations on Tuesday.

The Highway Patrol Group (HPG-Capiz), the Criminal Intelligence and Detection Group (CIDG-Capiz), and the Roxas City PNP served a warrant of arrest against Joeny Blanco, 58, of Sitio Tabai Brgy. Barra here.

The warrant was issued by Judge Faustino Roxas Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) of Branch 14 here on March 12, 2021.

No bail was recommended for Blanco’s temporary liberty. He is presently detained at the Roxas City police station.

Meanwhile, the Roxas City Police Station arrested Tuesday evening a 28-year-old person who is also facing a rape charge at Sitio Ilawod, Barangay Sibaguan here.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Jomuad Jr., Roxas City police chief, identified the suspect as Alden Alagon of said barangay.

The warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Faustino Valenzuela Roxas Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 14 on March 12, 2021.
