ROXAS CITY, Capiz Two persons were arrested afternoon of Feb 3, 2019 in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by police at Barangay Malag-it in Pontevedra, Capiz.
The Pontevedra police station and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) nabbed Joey Felarca, 20, of Barangay Duran, Dumalag, Capiz; and Napoleon Bones, 33, of Barangay Tacas, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Recovered from the suspects were 15 sachets of suspected shabu, P800 marked money, a .38-caliber revolver with two live bullets, two units of cellphone, and a black motorcycle.
Police estimated the value of the confiscated shabu at P15,000 to P20,000.
The two suspects are presently detained at the lock up cell of Pontevedra police station and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The suspects will also be charged for violating R.A 10591 or Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition in relation to the Commission on Election (Comelec) Gun-ban.
