BACOLOD City – Two persons who allegedly robbed an Indian businessman in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental last Saturday, were arrested the following day in Kabankalan City.
Police identified the suspects as Julio Gustilo and Joseph Muleta.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Glen Provido, Himamaylan City police chief, said the duo was arrested through the information gathered from the community.
Gustilo and Muleta were identified as the suspects behind the robbery of Avtar Singh, 44, at Barangay Caradio-an, Himamaylan City.
They allegedly threatened Singh at knifepoint, and took his wallet containing P600, and his motorcycle.
Provido said Gustilo has a previous record for illegal possession of firearm.
Both suspects are detained at the police station for the filing of robbery with intimidation and carnapping charges.
