ROXAS CITY, Capiz — One house was totally destroyed while another was partially damaged Wednesday morning, April 22, in Sitio Barrio, Barangay Quevedo, Maayon, Capiz.
The Bureau of Fire Protection in Maayon identified the owner of the totally burned house as Elma Dillera Batacandolo, 38.
The partially damaged house was owned by Jocelyn Cadainggan Panes, 57, who said she was washing clothes when the fire broke out.
An arson investigator said no one was inside the house when the conflagration occurred.
The fire razed the house, which was made of light materials, and spread to an adjacent house that was also made of light materials.
Around PHP 9,500 worth of property was destroyed, while the investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
