ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two friends were hauled to jail after they were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Thursday afternoon at Brgy. Banica here.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Roxas City Police Station identified the suspects as Sheba Yun, 36, of Panitan town and Joemel Barres of Brgy. Lanot here.
Recovered from the suspects were seven sachets of suspected illegal drugs, two cellphones, P500 marked money, a wallet and a motorcycle.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo, Roxas City Police chief, the target of the operation was Yun while Barres happened to be in the area.
Yun was first arrested in 2016 for the same offense but was released after availing of plea-bargaining agreement.
Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the two suspects who were detained at the Roxas City police station.
