2 arrested in Roxas City drug buy-bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Two individuals were arrested Tuesday evening, Jan. 27, during a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay Banica, Roxas City.

Police identified the suspects as alias “Arat,” 24, of Roxas City, and alias “Hazel,” 23, of President Roxas, Capiz.

Recovered from the suspects were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams, with an estimated street value of PHP 102,000.

Officers also seized three sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves weighing 15 grams, worth PHP 1,800, along with PHP 3,500 in marked buy-bust money.

The suspects are now in the custody of the Roxas City Police Station.

Charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against them.
