BACOLOD City – Another batch of augmentation personnel arrived here yesterday as part of the security for the 43rd MassKara Festival.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) welcomed 189 policemen from the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6.
Of the figure, three were commissioned officers while 186 were non-commissioned officers.
They were added to the 1,480 uniformed men and force multipliers who were initially deployed to ensure the safety of the revelers and visitors since Oct. 1.
They were already distributed to their respective tasks, especially since the MassKara sa Panaad at the Panaad Park already opened yesterday.
Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, BCPO director, earlier, said that more than 2,000 security forces are expected to be deployed, considering that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his family will be gracing the highlight of the festival on Oct. 23.
