17-year old boy dies of drowning
A 17-year old boy died of drowning on Aug. 24, 2020 at Hamtic, Antique. The victim, Gil Jumagbas, allegedly went swimming with his carabao in a river several meters from their house at Barangay Ingwan Batangan, Hamtic. His father and two other men began looking for him when he went missing.

A 17-year old boy died of drowning on Aug. 24, 2020 at Hamtic, Antique.
The victim, Gil Jumagbas, allegedly went swimming with his carabao in a river several meters from their house at Barangay Ingwan Batangan, Hamtic.
His father and two other men began looking for him when he went missing.
Jumagbas’s body was later retrieved at the deeper portion of the river.
He was reported missing at 11:30 a.m. but the local police only received the report at 4:30 p.m. of the said day.
At that time, the victim was already taken to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose town by the responding rescue team.
He was declared dead on arrival.
