ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A total of 1,629 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from Western Visayas received their land titles during the ceremonial distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs), electronic titles (e-titles), and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage led by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) at Villareal Stadium in Roxas City on October 30, 2025.
Capiz Governor Fredenil Castro expressed his gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for continuing to facilitate programs that benefit farmers.
Around 2,433 hectares of land were distributed to beneficiaries across Western Visayas during the ceremony.
Based on DAR records, 125 landholdings and 1,921 land titles were distributed to beneficiaries in Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, Capiz, and Guimaras.
Iloilo province accounted for the largest share, with 970.27 hectares distributed to 529 beneficiaries, followed by Capiz with 846.75 hectares for 476 beneficiaries.
Aklan received 248.16 hectares for 371 beneficiaries, Antique 210.78 hectares for 136 beneficiaries, and Guimaras 157.82 hectares for 101 beneficiaries.
The land and title distribution forms part of DAR’s Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project, which aims to accelerate land tenure security under the government’s agrarian reform program.
DAR officials said the success of the event was made possible through strong interagency cooperation and the sustained support of local government partners.
