BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided two separate alleged drug dens here yesterday that resulted in the arrest of 12 persons and seizure of P204,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The first buy-bust operation was led by PDEA-Negros Occidental at around 11 a.m. in Barangay 2 that led to the arrest of alleged drug den maintainer Jose Siancua, and six others.
PDEA agents recovered about 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, improvised tooters, lighters, pair of scissors, mobile phone, cigarette case, and the marked money.
A few hours later, PDEA-6 Special Enforcement Team (SET) also conducted a drug bust at Purok Star Apple 1, Barangay 27 at around 2:30 p.m.
Five persons were arrested, including the alleged drug den maintainer Hanna Jane Gajelomo, while their other male companion managed to escape.
According to PDEA-6 SET team leader Bamboo, about 15 grams of the said contraband worth P102,000 was confiscated during the operation.
Also recovered were the P500 marked money, two improvised tooters, two lighters, a pair of scissors, and a coin purse.
Drug charges are being readied against the 12 arrested individuals.
