BACOLOD City – Around 113 personnel of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) here were already inoculated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, Nocppo’s public information officer, said vaccinated personnel were those assigned to Himamaylan City, San Carlos City, and Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) town.
For Himamaylan City, 45 policemen were already vaccinated with Sinovac on June 16 to 18, while 22 others are waiting for the vaccination schedule.
For San Carlos City, 44 cops also received their Sinovac vaccines on June 17, while 32 others are still waiting for their schedule.
For DSB, 24 personnel were vaccinated with AstraZeneca and Sinovac on June 11 to 15, while 21 others have yet to receive their COVID-19 shots.
Donasco said the respective local government units of these localities initiated the vaccination rollout for the police station personnel in their jurisdiction.
As for the Nocppo personnel at the headquarters here, there is no definite schedule yet on their vaccination, Donasco said.
Even Police Colonel Romy Palgue, Nocppo director, has yet to be vaccinated, she added.
