BACOLOD City – The 11 “patients under monitoring” (PUMs) for coronavirus disease or COVID-19 ended their 14-day quarantine Tuesday.
Bacolod Inter-Agency Task Force against COVID-19 spokesperson, Dr. Grace Tan, said the PUMs previously traveled to areas affected by the disease.
Tan also noted that while under quarantine, the 11 patients remained in stable condition and did not exhibit any type of symptoms of the infection.
As of Feb 24, 2020, Tan said the city does not have any “persons under investigation” admitted to any medical facility in the city.
With the virus currently spreading in other countries aside from China such as South Korea, Japan, Iran, and Italy, the city government is now requiring all hotels, resorts, and accommodation establishments in Bacolod to have their guests fill-up a health declaration card.
They must state their travel histories and report any illnesses they may have experienced in the past 14 days.
Tan said the establishments in the city are required to submit daily reports but so far none of the businesses have reported guests suspected of having COVID-19.
