BACOLOD CITY – Eleven houses were razed by fire at Purok Baybay, Barangay Daga, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, last Thursday.
Seven houses were destroyed, while four others were partially damaged, according to the Cadiz City Fire Station.
The fire broke out around 10:56 a.m., but arson investigators have yet to determine its origin.
The residential area was crowded, with houses mostly made of light materials.
The fire was declared out at 12:02 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Fire victims were temporarily sheltered at the barangay’s covered court.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is still probing the cause of the fire and has yet to declare the cost of damage.
