ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Eleven persons were arrested by police for violating curfew hours in the province of Capiz relative to the enhanced community quarantine against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Arrested on Saturday evening in Roxas City were Ronilo Magallanes, 35, of Barangay Lawaan; Teddy Begona, 29, Reymark Acosta, 31, Jimmy Fraira, 37, Rex Silvestre, 33, and Roberto Begona, 45, all residents of Barangay Banica here while Hernan Alcones, 57, of Barangay Dinginan; Regan Ortiga, 28, Joan Capapas and Andronico Gortaleza, both of Barangay Lonoy, all in Roxas City.
Cops in Pres. Roxas town also nabbed Paul Palencia, 46, of Barangay Pantalan.
According to the data released by the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO), 79 individuals have been arrested for curfew hour violations from March 20 to April 9, 2020.
Roxas City has the highest number of violators with 29, followed by towns of Sigma and Panitan with 10 each, Pilar and President Roxas with 7 each, Pontevedra with 5, Ivisan and Jamindan with 3 each, Mambusao and Panay with 2 each and Dumarao with one.
The curfew hours was implemented under Executive Order No. 11, series of 2020 issued by Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras.
