The kits will be brought to the Doña Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital and the City Health Office.
He said these will be used to collect the specimen of the Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) for testing by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
PUIs are persons with signs and symptoms of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and have travel history to infected areas.
As to how these will be brought to RITM, Gasataya said that “We all help make arrangements, there is a schedule for it to be brought to Manila on Sunday.”
As of March 20, 2020, 8 a.m., Dr. Grace Tan, spokesperson of the City Inter Agency Task Group on coronavirus said that, 11 PUIs are currently admitted to Bacolod City hospitals (7 males and 4 females).
Tan said all PUIs are in stable condition.
Six PUIs were discharged Thursday and sent home for monitoring with appropriate instructions from the hospitals.
Results of the 11 test samples of Bacolod City PUIs released by RITM were negative for COVID-19.
