BACOLOD CITY – A 10-year-old boy died after being electrocuted in Sitio Calasag, Barangay Cansalongon, Isabela, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
According to police, the boy was tending ducks in a rice field around 7:30 a.m. when he accidentally touched an extension line with a possible live wire connected to a fishpond.
He was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival, police said.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man was found dead at Tay-tay Alimango, Barangay San Vicente, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday night.
Initial investigation revealed that an unidentified suspect was looking for a certain “Gary” in the area. Shortly after, three gunshots were heard.
A resident later found the victim lying on the ground with gunshot wounds, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.
