ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Ten individuals were arrested after they were caught in the act of playing “pusoy” Tuesday afternoon, May 26, in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Panay, Capiz.
Police identified the suspects as aliases “Pasing,” 71; “Lina,” 49; “Hulyo,” 53; “Esang,” 26; “Irene,” 53; “Nida,” 49; “Gian,” 39; “Weng,” 42; and “Joan,” 20, all residents of Poblacion Ilaya; and alias “Nel,” 44, of Barangay Linateran, Panay.
Recovered from the suspects were one set of playing cards and PHP 3,299 in bet money.
The suspects are under the custody of the Panay Municipal Police Station, while charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, or the anti-illegal gambling law, will be filed against them.
