1 killed, 2 wounded in road mishap
ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One person was killed while two others were wounded in a road collision Thursday morning at Barangay Nasunogan, Dao, Capiz. Police identified the fatality as Minerva Peralta, 79. Tricycle driver Ren James Espina and another passenger Roel Evacuado, 48, all residents of said barangay were wounded.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – One person was killed while two others were wounded in a road collision Thursday morning at Barangay Nasunogan, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the fatality as Minerva Peralta, 79.
Tricycle driver Ren James Espina and another passenger Roel Evacuado, 48, all residents of said barangay were wounded.
Investigation by the Dao Municipal Police Station indicated that the tricycle riders were on their way to Dao town proper when they were sideswiped by an L300 van driven by Armando Butnante, 42, of Bacolod City.
The van was on its way from Aklan province to Iloilo.
The victims were taken to Sen. Gerry Roxas District Hospital in Brgy. Balucuan also in Dao town but Peralta died while being treated.
Butnante is in the custody of Dao police.
