1 dead, 3 injured after truck falls into cliff in Bayawan City

BACOLOD City – A man died while three others were injured after a truck fell into a cliff at Sitio Balaobalaoan, Barangay Nangka, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental last Monday.
Killed was Jake Librando, 19, of Barangay 9 here.
Wounded were Bacolod residents – Kim Jaycel Zamora, 18; Rosalinda Tuazon, 19; and truck driver Jemar Jison, 28.
Based on the initial investigation of the police, the truck loaded with various merchandise was traveling from Bacolod City to Bayawan City.
When Jison reached the curved portion of the road, the truck allegedly encountered mechanical trouble that caused the vehicle to fall into the cliff.
All the four victims were brought to Bayawan City District Hospital, where Librando was declared dead. The other victims were transferred to a hospital here.
