Youngster nabbed with P88K worth of shabu

A youngster was arrested in a police anti-illegal drugs operation shortly after midnight of September 9 at Molo, Iloilo City.

Jazz Alcain, 20, a resident of Barangay Monica, City Proper, Iloilo City, was collared immediately after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth 11,000 to a police poseur-buyer.

Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6), together with operatives from the Iloilo City Police Station 6, the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 6 (RHPU-6), and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6 (CIDG-6)’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Team, nabbed Alcain 12:50 a.m. of Thursday at Barangay San Pedro, Molo.

Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, RPDEU-6 chief, said two sachets of suspected shabu, and a water pouch were also taken from the suspect.

Authorities pegged the value of the seized substance at P88,400.

Darroca said that Alcain is considered a street level pusher.

The suspect is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
