A woman believed to be suffering from nervous breakdown was found dead morning of April 22 in San Joaquin, Iloilo.

The body of Razel Sevillo, 35, Purok 2, Poblacion, San Joaquin, was found at a vegetated portion near the dump site at Barangay Bonga.

A resident who passed by the area saw Sevillo’s body and reported it to police authorities.

Lieutenant Dionisio Estacio, San Joaquin police chief, said the body bore wounds on her feet.

“Para siyang nakaapak ng basag na bote,” Estacio said.

He added that the SOCO team will have to determine if she had other injuries.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

Sevillo was last seen alive around 5:00 p.m. yesterday, several hours after she arrived from Manila.

Estacio said the victim could be suffering from mental illness and had been known to walk aimlessly.

Her family might have thought that she just wandered around town and would eventually return home.

Months ago, Estacio said the woman used to drop by their office and babbled a lot.

“Palagi siya sa istasyon tapos nagsasalita mag-isa,” he said.

They later heard that she went to Manila.

Estacio said they are gathering information to ascertain the events leading to Sevillo’s death.
