ROXAS CITY, Capiz The No. 6 most wanted person in Maayon, Capiz was arrested on April 3, after 14 years of hiding.
The Maayon police led by Capt. Fernando Punzalan collared Dave Democrito Villarosa, 41, of Sitio Tepacla, Poblacion Ilaya, Maayon but temporarily residing in Sitio Carasan, Brgy. Abangay in Dingle, Iloilo.
Villarosa was arrested for six counts of rape charge in relation to Republic Act 7610 in Criminal Case Nos. C-146-06 to C-151-06.
The late Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Salvador S. Gubaton issued the arrest warrant on May 22, 2006 with no bail bond recommended.
The suspect is presently in the custody of Maayon police station and will be transferred to Capiz Rehabilitation Centre in Brgy. Lawaan here.
Meanwhile, two more wanted persons in Tapaz town were arrested in separate operations on April 3.
Ernie Haligado of Brgy. Switch was arrested at around 8 a.m. for attempted homicide. But he was released after posting the P36,000 bail.
On the other hand, Alvin Villareal, 41, of Brgy Poblacion, Tapaz was arrested at around 8:30 a.m. for the crime of attempted murder.
Villareal remained in police custody after he failed to post the P48,000 bail.
