THE rainy weather failed to dampen the spirit of the bikers who joined UP Validus Amicitia’s second Vayk Fest.

Eight courageous Ilonggo riders finished the route that started from UP, to Plaza Libertad, La Paz Plaza, Jaro, Bike Lane, then back to the UP quadrangle.

Event organizer Aubrey Mongao thanked the participants for making the event a success.

“Rain or shine we were able to make it work. Although more than half of the participants backed out, there were some who showed up and expressed their willingness to ride with the tide,” Mongao said.

Meanwhile Grand Fondo New York, an organization that focuses on personal endurance challenge, endorsed their upcoming competition.

GFNY promoted the Asian Championship race on September 22, 2019 at the Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao district.

The winners in the first leg of the GFNY Asian Championship race will become eligible for the GFNY World Championship on May 17, 2020.
