Update on PhilSys Registration Step 2 in Iloilo

To reach the target of 50 to 70 million registrants for National ID, the Philippine Statistics Authority opened several registration centers all over the Philippines starting February this year.

The Province of Iloilo (including Iloilo City), which has undergone Registration Step 1 last year, opened the first registration center in Midtown Hotel Annex Building located Yulo Street, City Proper, Iloilo City (former DFA office) on February 2.

It was followed by the opening of a registration center in the Municipality of Santa Barbara located at the Farmer’s Training Center, Corner Magalona-Hingco Streets, Santa Barabara, Iloilo on February 10.

So far, the following registration centers in Iloilo have opened:

-Municipality of Oton located at Oton Covered Gym, JC Zulleta Street, Oton on February 15;

-City of Passi located at Passi City Arena, F. Palmares Street, Passi City on February 23;

-Municipality of Leon located at Old ABC Hall, Capalla Street, Leon;

-Municipality of Tigbauan located Parara Sur Gym, Brgy. Parara Sur, Tigbauan on February 24;

-Municipality of Maasin located at Maasin Covered Gym, Rizal St., Brgy Mabriz, Maasin on February 25;

-Municipality of Dingle in Senior Citizen Building, Brgy San Jose, Dingle on March 1;

-Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), Burgos St, La Paz for La Paz district;

-North Fundidor Gym, Brgy North Fundidor, Molo for Molo district;

-Municipality of Pototan located at Pototan Municipal Library, San Jose Ward, Pototan on March 2, and

-Municipality of San Dionisio in San Dionisio Civic Center/Municipal Plaza, Poblacion, San Dionisio on March 3.

Registration Step 2 involves the validation of supporting documents and capturing the registrant’s biometric information such as fingerprints, iris scans, and front-facing photographs at the registration centers.

The National ID will be delivered to the addresses the registrants have provided or can be picked up at the registration centers.

Although 12 registration centers have been opened in Iloilo, Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida Amolar emphasized that only those who have rescheduled and informed through text will be catered in the registration centers.

Pre-registration in other municipalities and cities is on-going.
