BACOLOD City – Police are probing the persons behind the disposal of two severed hands at Purok Kagaykay, Brgy. 2 here yesterday.

Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said a garbage collector found a box containing an ice cream plastic container.

When the garbage collector opened the container, he saw the severed hands along with a piece of paper.

Pastrana said they will verify the names written on the paper linking some persons to the illegal drug trade.

“Blanko pa kita kung sin-o nag wigit didto,” the station commander said.

He said they will check a copy of a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera in the area to establish a lead against the perpetrators.

Pastrana said they are not sure if the severed hands were cooked before it was dumped in the area, as the container had some ingredients believed to be used for cooking beef or pork soup or “nilaga.”

Police will check with other police stations if there are reported missing persons that could be linked to the incident.

The severed hands, which will be subjected to examination, were taken to a funeral parlor.
