Two more suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate police operations in Iloilo City.

Police identified the suspects as Mark Ganancial, 37, of Sitio 6, Barangay Taft North, Manduriao, Iloilo City and Eduardo Mapa, 56, of Barangay Hipodromo, City Proper, Iloilo City.

Both Ganancial and Mapa are alleged street-level individual (SLI) drug pushers.

Ganancial was arrested at 2:20 p.m. on March 10 at Sitio 6, Barangay Taft North for allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P3,000 to a member of the Iloilo City Police Station 5.

When frisked, he yielded five more sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, a coin purse, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Lieutenant Colonel Albert Sy, ICPS5 chief, said the seized shabu weighed around 10 grams and with an estimated drug price of P68,000.

A day before that, Mapa was arrested at 5:02 p.m. at Barangay San Pedro, Molo.

Members of ICPS4 led by Captain Benjie Dicen collared the suspect after selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P2,000.

Recovered from the suspect were three more sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, and a cigarette foil.

The two suspects are now detained pending the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9166 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
